Bristol Community Sauna

Our Philosophy

Nestled behind St Anne's House, a 1950s office block turned community hub in the heart of Bristol, you will find the rather unexpected leafy oasis that is home to Bristol Community Sauna, a non-profit community sauna space that opened in June 2024. A selection of all-electric saunas and cold plunges occupy a small but growing footprint in the back garden. The space has been designed with step-free access and extra-wide doors with wheelchair accessibility in mind.

Bristol Community Sauna's goal is to enable sauna and plunge sessions to become a regular part of the local community's weekly routine rather than a rare indulgence. The 75-minute sessions provide ample time for several rounds of contrast therapy, recuperation, and stillness. A strong focus on inclusion sits at the heart of the project, with dedicated sessions for trans and queer communities, accessible pricing, and a welcoming culture that ensures everyone can participate and feel at home.
